Young scholars and researchers are kindly invited to submit their research proposals to join the Fifth Edition of the International Conference organized by the “Seminario italospagnolo”, “Europe, as an open society”, within the topics outlined in the present Call for papers.
Despite the consequences related to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we decided not to postpone our traditional meeting, that this year will take place on December 14th and 15th 2020 at the University of Milan, through the online platform Microsoft Teams.
We sincerely thank the University of Milan and the Department of Italian and Supranational Public Law for supporting us and for allowing the ongoing although virtual exchange between Italy and Spain for our meeting, that will therefore keep its scientific excellence.
The admission process of the proposals will be based on a blind evaluation.
Those who are interested in submitting their proposals are kindly asked to send their abstracts within November 20th 2020 by making use of a template accessible on our website page.
Each candidate will be required to fill the online template by making use of one of the working languages and to indicate a preliminary title and an abstract of two pages maximum.
The abstract will be uploaded in a word or PDF format in the same template and it will be anonymous.
The scientific committee will select the 10 best abstract proposals for each thematic area (50 in total) within November 30th 2020. From this date onwards, selected candidates will benefit from comments and notes from those who evaluated the submitted proposals for the elaboration of the oral presentation.
The oral presentations will take place on the day scheduled by the organization committee of the International Conference and the participants will be asked to be online for the entire duration of the atelier as well as to join the plenary sessions.
As in the past editions of the International Conference, each participant will be granted 10 minutes to present his/hers proposal. It is of great importance to comply with the time limit, in order to favor the development of the International Conference.
Participants are also strongly encouraged to actively join the sessions to fully benefit from the inter-generational dialogue featuring the International Conference.
In the light of the scientific quality of the oral presentations, the selected papers will be gathered and published in a book edited by the publishing house Editoriale Scientifica, Naples, Italy.
The final papers (20 pages maximum) will have to be submitted within January 31st 2021, in accordance with the editorial criterion published on our website page.
The scientific committee reserves the right to decide on the publication of the submitted papers in the light of its quality standards.
The Fifth Edition of the International Conference will also award a prize to the best presentation among the 50 selected proposals.
Registration to the International Conference is free of charge.
A certificate of attendance will be provided to those who will attend the ateliers and the plenary sessions.
As the International Conference is part of the EUCONS Jean Monnet Program, attendance will be carefully monitored.
Registration to the International Conference will automatically follow the admission of the submitted proposal.
In case of proposals submitted by more than one author, each author is required to fill the online template following the instructions indicated above.
